Dildar Abdu

Hi, I’m Dildar, founder of 1001 Nights of Lessons and host of the Diva Wears Atlas podcast. You may know me from my Uyghur cultural videos on social media. Creating these Uyghur language courses have been so meaningful and rewarding as it has allowed me to deepen my bond with my mother language and to share its beauty with you.

The classes I lecture will be interactive with lots of opportunities to speak Uyghur out loud. Outside of class time, I'm available in our Community Chat to help you with any questions & feedback. I can't wait to take you on this journey to learn Uyghur and explore the richness of Uyghur culture!

Submit homework through the Discord Community Chat:

  1. Download the Discord mobile app (or use desktop)
  2. Join our Discord Community Chat using the exclusive invite link in your welcome email
  3. Submit  your weekly homework in the designated homework-submission channel to receive feedback from instructors and classmates.

(You will be added to your session's homework channel on course start date.)

This course is speaking-focused, so most homework assignments are designed to help you practice speaking confidently. Approximately 80% of homework submissions are speaking-based, and will be submitted in Voice-notes via Discord Homework channels.

The remaining assignments include light written or comprehension exercises to support your speaking progress.

This course covers both the Uyghur Latin script and the Uyghur Arabic script, with a primary focus on the Latin script to help you develop speaking skills more quickly.

While mastering the Arabic script for reading and writing is not mandatory in this course, materials are provided in both scripts, so you can learn according to your level and goals.
